When it's show time ... are you ready?

For Performers

Being a performer in any professional domain is both rewarding and challenging. You’ve dedicated your life to your passion and trained countless hours to reach success. How much training have you given to your mind? Humans are complex creatures. Have you ever noticed that when you performed well and it felt so easy, you were in the zone and it just seemed to flow? Or remember  time when you tried harder because it really mattered and for some unknown reason your performance decreased and the harder you tired the worse things felt? Ultimately, all the practise and preparation in the world will not help you if your not mentally prepared, strong and fit when it’s SHOW TIME. By training your mind along side your body you can get more from your performance and youself both on an off the stage. So… what are you waiting for?

What is Performance Psychology?

Performance psychology is an evidence-based science whereby the application of psychological principles of human performance aide performers consistently reach the upper range of their capabilities and more thoroughly enjoy the performance process. Training mental skills that help people learn how to perform better and more consistently in endeavours where excellence counts (Hays, 2006).

Who is it for?

Do you want to improve aspects of your performance? Are you training to become professional in your field? Is something hindering your progess? Or perhaps you are already a top performer, elite athlete or an aspring to become a champion? Whatever your level, if you want to improve performance then developing mental skills for peak performance will help you.

What's involved?

How does the performance psychology training work?
How often do I need to practice?
How will I know it's working?
After an introductory meeting a focused needs analysis session takes place to ascertain target areas. Then a training programme is created for an individual or team. This can be pre- or post-season or concurrent to a performing season. There's no 'magic wand' or 'snake oil' in performance psychology. All methods are founded in evidence-based science ensuring participants' care and well-being is the focus.
